More than $ 10,000 in merchandise and motorized equipment, including two Cub Cadet zero-turn lawn mowers valued at $ 3,200 each, were stolen from the Tractor Supply store in Frenchtown Township on Wednesday evening.
According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office which investigated the break-in, the theft took place at the store, 2492 N. Telegraph Rd., Between 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday morning.
A company official told MPs that when she arrived at work on Thursday she found three chains used to secure the parking lot and the building cut off, including a chain used to secure a fenced area where the mowers were stored. Also missing was a 2016 silver utility landscape trailer valued at $ 2,000 and nine pressure washers valued at $ 1,300, according to an assistant report.
Investigators want to interview three former employees who were recently made redundant by the company, according to the report.
Catalytic converters stolen from vehicles
Five vehicles stored in two locations close to each other in Bedford Township recently had their catalytic converters stolen, according to the MP’s reports.

A woman’s purse stolen from Stoneco Park
A woman said someone stole her purse containing $ 40 in cash after parking at Stoneco Park in Ottawa Lake and taking a walk on Wednesday night.
The woman told MPs that she parked her 2010 Yukon at around 7:50 p.m. in the park at 7100 Whiteford Rd. When she returned to the vehicle about 20 minutes later, the purse that also contained her driver’s license , his social security card and debit card were missing.
