Cub, Valley City, Ohio, unveiled the latest addition to its PRO series, announcing the PRO X series of riding mowers. The mowers, which are the first stand-on mowers in Cub Cadet’s professional line-up, add to the company’s growing line of commercial lawn equipment and provide a sustainable and innovative option for landscapers looking for the flexibility and productivity that a stand-on mower offers.

“The PRO X Series completes the core of our extensive line of commercial equipment, giving operators the flexibility to mow a wider range of properties while providing superior productivity compared to a zero-turn mower. The PRO X Series’ small footprint also frees up space in the trailer to further improve efficiency, ”says Josh Sooy, Director of Commercial Products, Cub Cadet. “We’re thrilled that commercial mowers are experimenting with the X 600’s suspension system and smooth controls. This has a substantial impact on how you feel after a long mowing session. “

A fully fabricated 10 gauge deck hull with 7 gauge top and bottom braces gives the PRO X Series a solid backbone. And with a maintenance-free design, axles, bearings, hubs, casters, rims, linkages, levers and other pivot points do not require lubrication. A standard 24-inch tire gives the PRO X Series more ground clearance than other units in the class. This means that when you jump over a curb there is enough room to back up without the machine catching up.

A large, fully adjustable suspension platform allows the operator to adjust tension in seconds without tools. The suspension system has been designed and tested against competitive units to provide the best impact absorption in its class, allowing the operator to glide comfortably over rough terrain. A fully adjustable hip pad with plenty of side supports provides comfort and stability when mowing slopes.

The PRO X Series is designed to work with professional high lift Marbain blades, which deliver a blade top speed of up to 18,500 feet per minute and 1.5 inch blade overlap, and a tall Kawasaki engine. range with up to 25.5 horsepower. An easy up / down design allows for quick debris pickup, while a platform size equal to or larger than the width of the tire maximizes traction, reduces sod and will never roll over uncut grass.

“We listened to the ideas and concerns of landscapers and designed the PRO X series to be comfortable, durable and intuitive,” says Sooy. “With an ideal combination of balance and stability, this mower gives operators full control while on the job so they can focus on the job at hand. “

The PRO X Series is backed by a three-year no-hour commercial warranty and a five-year limited bridge warranty. It will be available for purchase in December 2019.
